Reasons Why People Are Single parents

A single parent is one parent raising children alone without the presence of the other parent.A single parent can be either male or female but it seems like there are more female single parents than male single parents.Few times single parenthood is by choice but most of the time it is due to circumstances.Nowadays some women choose to get children and raise them on their own.They get into an agreement with a male to help them bear a child.And they agree that his role ends there that he will not be a father to the child or rather be a part of the child's life.Some women do this because they would rather be alone and independent without the ups and downs of relationships or marriage.

In some cases in a relationship or dating the woman gets a baby intentionally or non-intentionally and the man or woman decides not to take responsibility in raising the child.Yes some women do leave the child with the father of the child it is not only the men who do not take up that responsibility.But it is mostly fathers who do not take up responsibility.And this is a growing trend,some ladies would be dating or in a relationship or in many cases an affair and once the lady is with child the man heads for the hills faster than you can blink.And they do not take up any responsibility of raising the child be they capable or not.

And most of them are capable but they choose to just turn a blind eye.This is a growing trend it is alarming because other men go around leaving kids everywhere. I call them father of the nation.Most people say it the woman who bears all the shame when their is an under age pregnancy or an accidental pregnancy.I say this is not so because it takes two for this to happen.I think it is about time women stop playing victims and let men take equal blame and responsibility.

I do not support taking advantage or entrapment by getting a child so as to get financial support from a man and also you as a mother have to play a role to meet the kids financial requirements and not only rely on the man alone.We are the ones who allow this to happen why should not a man bear the shame if any let him too bear the same.If the man can pay for the upkeep of the child there is the law which will make him pay.And you can also shame him on Dead beat Kenya.Equality should be in everything both negative and positive.When can be equals also in shame, do not you think so?
