Why Was Kenyan Amina Mohamed Snubbed For The Position Of Chairperson Of The African Union Commission (AUC)?

In the year 2013 Ambassador Amina Mohamed was appointed Cabinet Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade.Yes, Ambassador Mohamed has steered diplomatic engagement to greater heights.Kenya has benefitted tremendously from regional and international engagements of national and continental significance but that was a good understandable snub. Dr. Amina Mohamed was nominated for the position of Chairperson of the African Union Commission (AUC), a position with was held by Excellency Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma of South Africa.Which is quiet a surprise to me.

Though i recognise the achievements of Ambassador Amina Mohamed i get why she was snubbed. It should not come as a huge surprise. What does the Kenyan government expect from the rest of the African Countries?Does the Kenyan government think people do not see their sky rocket levels of corruption?Who will reward you for bad behaviour and a bad reputation? With that ugly face of corruption who do you expect to vote for you and you are not the least bit attractive?

There are consequences for greed that the Kenyan Government has.It has been corruption left, right and centre.People who have integrity in the Kenyan Government are just but a drop in the ocean.I do not take this snub the least bit personally. It is about time there are consequences for corruption in this country.

You can not just do whatever you want and get away with it. It is about time you get a bite in that behind and i hope you learn from that bite.Bad deeds should never be rewarded. The devil is the only one who rewards bad behaviour and guess what your reward is?A spot or a front raw seat in hell with him.It looks like Amina Mohammed was snubbed because she comes from a highly corrupt Government. Most Kenyans were pleased because they are the ones who pay a very high price for corruption on a daily basis.
